Uniform Resource Locator. The "address" of any site on
     the web, it can end in .com, .net, .edu, .biz, etc.

A link is a feature that allows you to move from one place
    to another on-line. Clicking on a link can move you from
    one page on a site to another on the same site, to a new site
    or even to an e-mail form.

: Start thinking about what you would like your site to look
    like. Surf the web. Use search engines to help you find sites
    designed for others in your field. Keep a list of sites that you
    really like as well as sites that you really hate.

Think about what information you want on your site. No one knows your business as well as you do! Begin gathering materials - articles, documents, photos and graphics - that you would like to appear on your site.

    called a server.  You may want a computer so that you
    can receive e-mail or view your site, but it actually isn't
    necessary.

Internet Service Provider. Your ISP - or just provider - is
     the company that allows you to connect your computer to
     the internet.
